When I link all of the colors and select white as the base color, the site does not look like the preview. I cannot see a lot of the text at all.
When I select white as the base color the theme should look decent and still be readable.
I know this bug is really subjective, but having a white theme would be useful for my site.

traxer commentedI cannot confirm this. Indeed, a lot of text is white on a white background (notably menu items, links and headings), but they are also white in the preview.
My suggestion is to unlink the colors and set the link value separately.
I haven't looked into the color module yet, so I don't know whether it is possible to improve the link algorithm.

tr commentedDrupal 5 is no longer supported. If you have this problem in Drupal 6 or higher and can provide steps to reproduce the error (and preferably screen shots demonstrating your problem) then please open a new issue.
