Hello, while having problems with updating plupload, multiform, media and media gallery, a temporary downgrade to a backup seemed a smart move for me.
After uploading the database tables and drupal backup (including modules) only the drupal core modules are visible.
Do you know what can be the cause of the missing modules?
I ran the updatescript, cron and cleared the cache, but that didn't change anything.

I'm not exactly sure what you did, but if you 'downgraded' a major version that won't work-- modules are not compatible across different major versions of drupal.

Hello WorldFallz, i meant with downgrade to a backup. Installing a complete backup (download of day..).
More concrecte, not only the sites and themes folders (of that day), but also includes, misc, modules, profiles, scripts and all the other files in the root folder.
I've done this two times. Once with all the files that gave me a working website on de first of march (with Drupal core 7.20). After that i tried the same thing with all the files from somewhere in february (Drupal core 7.17).
With these files i uploaded the database files of that moment.
Both with same result. No (working) modules.

well i don't know what the problem was.
emptying the tables didn't do it.
Had to install de modules with the module install manager.
After that enabling the modules was possible.

very odd-- it's almost as if the modules weren't included in the backup. but at least you got it working again.
