I do not know if it is a bug or "by design"

Example:
Have a view which outputs node list. That list has _unsortable_ (http://drupal.org/node/1945374) by design node "new comments".

Have tried to sort it with PHP field with no luck, only ajax errors. Does anyone succeeded?
