Hi, I'm a newbie and need help about how to install Drupal v7.9 successfully

Let me jsut to the point.

This error messages is appear after install Drupal v7.9.

Warning: Illegal string offset 'field' in DatabaseCondition->__clone() (line 1895 of C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal79\includes\database\query.inc).

For any information, I use XAMPP v1.8.1 and Windows XP Service Pack 3 for my computers.

Anyone know how to fix that error messages? Please Response immediately.

Use XAMPP v1.7.7 (OLDER Version)! Not XAMPP v1.8.1!!!

Drupal v7.9 is very old. It would be better, if you use the newst (at the moment it is Drupal 7.21).

Is Drupal v7.21 working with XAMPP v1.8.1?

Use XAMPP v1.7.7 (OLDER Version)! Not XAMPP v1.8.1!!!
The older version runs wit Drupal V7.x, the newer makes problems very often!

I had read many complains about XAMPP v1.8.1 from any Forum which is discuss about the "problem that appear when installing CMS". I saw there is a point that say XAMPP v1.8.1 reduce many error messages when it integrated with other CMS. So then, I agree with you Wusel.

Now, it's time to Downgrade...!!

also i am recommended that you use acquia projects

https://www.acquia.com/downloads

because it has a full package installation for your machine that called Acquia Dev Desktop
