It would be nice to have the option in the backend and/or end-user page to display the link as some text or even an image rather than the full URL which can sometimes be very long and ugly.

This version of userlink is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
