shadcn commentedThis is a nice presentation on Panels, and how Panopoly builds on top of it to create magic. http://prezi.com/0l_derrjnmbx/introduction-to-panopoly
You get the idea of What and Why Panopoly.

charlie charles commentedI'm still very new to Drupal.
I saw Panopoly listing loads of times.
I didn't really get what it was or how great it is!
For example the 1st line say's assume know everything about Drupal already
I know what app is. I don't know what Chaos tools does or what Panel magic is???
How about something worded like this
"Panopoly makes building a drupal website fast and easy!
With it's drag and drop interface"
I hope that's helpful :)

populist commentedI think improving the documentation page is really important. A video would be ideal, but just better messaging is important. Postponing till post RC4 though.

charlie charles commentedIf you want to improve your documentation and your sales
read a books on copy writing. why?
Because you discover why Books for Dummies and Donald Trump
write their books at reading age of 12 year.
The easier something is to read
the more people will get what your trying to say
Your copy level is
Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Age 14.6
0 : 0 You did not talk about your reader at all i.e (You vs I)
"panopoly is an Apps enabled distribution of Drupal powered by lots of Chaos Tools and Panels magic. The distribution is designed to be both a general foundation for site building and a base framework upon which to build other Drupal distributions. Here are some key features"
This is how you check your writing readability
I hope that's helpful :)

dsnopekNo need to postpone this!
shadcn commented@dsnopek, I've been working on documentation for Radix over the weekend. See http://radixtheme.github.io/documentation/
Would something like this help Panopoly documentation?
dsnopek@arshadcn: That is super cool!
However, for the time-being, we're going to keep Drupal.org as the main source of documentation content (ie. text explaining things), because we like the idea that anyone with a Drupal.org account can easily contribute to it. On the other hand, @populist is working on a really cool project to help show Panopoly examples, which will live on a separate site. He'll be unveiling that in the near future. :-)
