Fading slideshow loaded from folder, viewed in header

How is it possible to have a fading slideshow as background in the header. The slideshow should dick into a folder from the image chache module.
CCK slideshow dosnt work on views/blocks - unfortunatelty.
I am using image chache to control image size to the cck image field. I thereby have a folder loaded with interesting images. I want an automatic fading slideshow on top in my header with these images...
How would that be possible?

Views slideshow will do the
Views slideshow will do the trick when view-mode is set to "slideshow list" and then the correct image-field is chosen as "field".
Now I only have problem getting the image to appear....now only the frame and html content, including the title is appearing, though fading automatically ;-)

Just had to choose an option (imache cache size) for the display under "field" in the view.
Now it works ;-)))
How did you get it to work?
I'm curious to know how you did this. I have used CCK to add an image field to a content type, then Views Slideshow to set up the view. The view does show me a gallery and slideshow effect but the image will not advance to the next image in the series. I have it set to 5000 to fade and advance to the next image and it fades but it never changes to the next image. Did you run into this at all?
And, I have used the same theory to provide a View in the header block but it doesn't show up at all.
Any suggestions?
