Limit the number of pages automatically loaded

Google Plus has the feature that it will automatically load a second set of posts when you scroll down to the bottom, but after that (third and subsequent pages) you have to manually click a "More" button. I know you already support automatically or manually loading more pages. Could there be an option to load "X" pages automatically and then require manually loading more? It would provide the best of both worlds. Thanks.
