Need arguement to show content only on certain nodes

Hi,
I am building a feature in the site where let's say I am pulling certain content from various nodes which contain a specific tag. It was easy to use arguement and pull and show such 'fields' on nodes which contained the specific tag lets say 'work' in this context. Now the problem is there are nodes which don't have this tag (taxonomy term). There are different fields that I want to show to node which don't contain the 'work' tag at the same time don't want these fields to appear on nodes containing 'work' tag.

Any help?
