What happens if categories are set to be included and there are more than one chosen at the time of node creation.

Also will this be updated for 4.6, it is a great module.

The "first" category is used to generate the path - i.e., the same one that appears first when the node is displayed - the one with the lower weight, usually.

My first try at 4.6 on my test system went badly, I had hoped to give it another try this weekend but didn't have time - I'll give it a shot next weekend. However, looking at the module updating guide, I don't see any changes that should affect pathauto - I think it will work fine with 4.6 as-is.

To follow up on the second question - pathauto is "updated" to 4.6 (well, since no changes were necessary, the same code works on both 4.5 and 4.6...).
