Metatag Features integration weirdness 2

Not sure what is going on yet but putting this here as a placeholder for others to attach to in case they are having issues. I will keep updating as I find more out. Feel free to edit this.

Here is what is happening:

1. I add a default value for og:image which is a token at admin/config/search/metatags
2. I recreate the Feature in the GUI and add a new metatag component such as node:article
3. I override the default value for og:image by deleting the value
4. I do a drush features-list (fl) and nothing appears as overridden
5. I clear cache and same thing
6. I go back to admin/config/search/metatags and it appears as if a features revert was ran as my default stored in Features is now present (not empty)
7. I delete the og:image default again and now drush fl says it is overridden and it works properly
