This module puts the GA script outside of the tags ... ie. after and therefore, Google Analytics isn't being picked up nor can't it be validated by Google.

Sounds like your theme isn't configured right if its putting the Analytics code outside of the HTML tags. Check where your print $closure; is in page.tpl.php
