My webcam software is protected by a username and password, so it would be great to be able to be able to use HTTP Basic authentication without encoding the credentials on the URL (e.g. http://username:password@www.mysite.com/webcam). Thanks!

I lack the time to code this feature, and have no need for it personally. However, I'll gladly commit a working patch if anyone comes up with it.
