Brief glossary of terms needed

I'm trying to build a view based on Address Field fields, and boy am I having a hard time figuring out which one stores the "city". Dependent locality? Subadministrative area?

The code at https://drupal.org/node/1267288 implies that Locality = City. But perhaps a glossary of equivalents -- whether in the module's Help file or exposed as Advanced Help -- would be helpful for non-coders.

I can help with this, but suspect that someone closer to the issue would do a better job. A couple of references I found:
