Hi All,
I've been working on creating a "drupal-lite" with very only the bare minimal modules for creating primary/secondary links and pages. Which modules from the base 4.5.2 distro are necessary and which aren't?

Can we move the uncessary ones out of the v4.6 core and make them separate modules?

Thanks,

Devin.

Perhaps you can look at the 'modules' list in your own Drupal site and see which are the ones you *can't* disable. :)

Well,
I thought it was that easy, too. I basically started deleting modules that weren't listed as being required in the modules control panel.

What I found was there were are certain, subtle, interdependencies that have been created over time and some of the modules seem to be "required" even though they aren't listed as such in the modules control panel. Now I'm not so sure which one's are really required and which ones aren't.

It would be nice if the non-required modules were nested in thier own sub-directory or left out all together.

and share information about these "subtle interdependencies". Kjartan have found one between node and taxonomy and fixed that. Forum module depends on comment and taxonomy. We know about this problem and I have created a module dependency subsystem 'cos of dependencies in forum.

Now, if you have other dependency information, please share!
