I'm officially replacing the subform author's position at work. I'd like to get to upgrading the subform module. Looks like there are already some D5 patches I could get to on the path to D6 stuff I've been doing. Author was non-responsive to direct contact through his profile contact form (3+ weeks now).

Since the last project commit was Dec 2006 safe to assume its current owner isn't interested in maintaining. If they want to complain they can here in the issue queue.

No, and the people who wanted to collaborate to work on it haven't stepped up either. It's frustrating the amount of potential there is here.
