I have a copy of Drupal project which I want to import to DAMP on a new computer. What should I do?
At the moment I'm somehow doing the installation incorrectly and constantly running into fatal database errors.

copy all files and folders
export the database

import the database
clear cache tables
clear sessions table
clear watchdog table
place all files and folders
edit settings.php to point to the new database
test
