Since most aggregate sites pull in content from multiple websites, it would be great if FIG could have settings set not universally, but instead based on the particular feed. For example different sites may need different class settings.

It does this already. There are the global FIG settings under Configuration, but if you view the Feed content in the Content page, then choose Edit, you'll see a FIG section on the edit page that allows you to edit settings for that feed alone.
