Now, I'll admit right off the bat that I'm not really sure whether this is just a problem with ABC News or with Drupal.
I added a feed called "ABC World News" (and the appropriate blocks/permissions) to my left Drupal site navigation bar. The feed source was located at "http://my.abcnews.go.com/rsspublic/wnt_rss20.xml," and it worked fine - until I tried to switch it to "http://my.abcnews.go.com/rsspublic/world_rss20.xml," ABC's International News feed. When I edited the URL, saved it, and clicked "Update Items," I got this message: "The feed from International News seems to be broken, because of error "no element found" on line 1." I then tried ABC's Top Stories feed, which worked once... and then came up with the very same error when I tried to update it! No other ABC News feeds have worked for me since.
Possible sources of error: Could this have anything to do with the fact that I (finally) configured my cron jobs in between successfully placing the original World News feed and the subsequent errors? (Running a cron job manually gives me the same error.) Or could it be because I edited the "RSS Publishing" preferences (which seem to be overridden by the Aggregator module anyway, if they even apply in the first place)? Just throwing out some ideas here.
Hopefully this isn't an ABCNews thing (they DO make it hard to get their feed URL), so someone can help me fix the Drupal end of it :)
Thanks,
~Ethan
