Status update issue

In the drop down entitled 'Choose an account to which status updates can be posted ' non authenticated accounts are displayed and allowed to be chosen. Once a non-authenticated account is chosen it allows you to select 'post to twitter' on the status form and upon saving the status an error is displayed.
