Finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the 2.x line... the new features just looked too good to pass up. I went and wiped the old panels out off my system (removed module, dropped all panels_* tables from db) Installed new panels module... Found out about the nodewords problem, patched nodewords, moved on.
Trying to recreate my modest collection of panels (seven of them) and seem to have hit a small snag. I can create a panel, no problem. I can view panels at the appropriate url, no problem. But once I add anything to a panel under "content", it's locked in place and there for good.
For instance, I create a 2 col stacked panel (My favorite kind), I click on the "add pane" in the right side of the panel under "content", and put whatever I want in it (Custom content, a view, whatever, it doesn't seem to matter).. it all will take just fine, but then once I view (or preview, or anything that involves clicking "save"), I can never, ever, make changes to that pane I just added and saved.
Of course, one can't preview before saving, but once saving, I can't alter what was saved. in the gui, if a panel's titlebar is yellow, I can click the gear and make changes, but once I save and the titlebar changes to blue, the gear no longer does anything (I see data going out to the server and back in my browser, but no popup, no way to alter the pane)..... What makes this even worse is, I can't even *delete* a pane once saved, so it's not like I could just delete the pane and re-add making whatever changes I need to the pane... I have to blow the entire panel away, and rebuild all panes (being extra careful not to make a mistake or not realize what a certain option is for, because once I save and test it, I cant make any changes!)...
Maybe I'm missing something.. but so far the best way I've come up with to make those 7 panel pages of mine setup the way I want, well, it involves adding the same panes over and over until I get it the way I really want it, exporting the entire panel, copying to notepad, modifying (deleting all the incorrect panels), and then importing back into Drupal :(
I've tried in IE7, IE6, Firefox.... I'm hoping I'm just missing something.. :)

Alpha42 commentedUhh.. now I feel stupid.. Not 30 seconds after I posted this, I was showing the problem to a co-worker, and demonstrating my long-drawn-out work around to him, and he says "Try this, add a new pane, and while the titlebar for THAT pane is still yellow, before you click -Save-, try clicking on the "edit pane" gear for one of the blue panes that you previously saved". (How he thinks, or came up with this, I don't know, but I figure "what the heck, lets try it")... So I tried it. And it works.
So apparently, if *any* pane is yellow, I can edit/delete any pane on the screen.. but if all panes are blue (saved), then I can't do anything to any of them... strange. Not sure if this is by design or a bug I'm experiencing.
But eitherway atleast I can put notepad away now.. I can just add a junk pane if I need to make a change, then delete it before saving.

merlinofchaos commentedAre you using the jquery update module?

nath commentedThis seems to be the same as http://drupal.org/node/194475

merlinofchaos commentedAssuming the jquery update module is in place, I agree with nath, and am marking this as a duplicate. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
