Content creation menu items won't show

I've installed the og user roles module, created a new og, and gave one of its users a role using the og user roles interface.

This role suppose to give that user content creation, and editing permissions.

I've noticed that the user can edit the posts posted in that group, but can't see the "Create something" menu items in the groups menu.

I've done some digging, and discovered that if I disable the Taxonomy access control lite module, the problem is solved. This module is important to me so I can't just stop using it.

can anyone think of a reason way this happens, and how to fix this issue, without disabling tac_lite?
