Using a custom redirect URL

Hi,
When I select 'Use a custom redirect URL' and point it at the content path field with a rewrite [path] the link appears fine in the view preview

http://localhost:8080/sjtsitetest/content/muddy-cows

But then on the live view I get this appearing in the in link:

href="/sjtsitetest/%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A//localhost%3A8080/sjtsitetest/content/muddy-cows%22%3Ehttp%3A//localhost%3A8080/sjtsitetest/content/muddy-cows%3C/a%3E"

I have a fullcalendar setup with events containing field collections for dates, which all works fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.
