I saw this mentioned in a few bugs but never responded to. When using this menu on an iPad the user cannot collapse an expanded menu when clicking outside of it.
It is my understanding the expected behavior of this module is that if the user doesn't want to go to any of the links in a menu dropdown that they should be able to dismiss the dropdown by clicking on a non-linked region of the page. This is how it performs on Android devices.
This issue seems to also exist on the demo site: http://mehrpadin.net/demo/superfish/ If you try one of the menus that appears to have the touchscreen plugin activated (like the 2nd horizontal example titled "Horizontal + Supposition") the same problem occurs.
I've tried turning on and off various settings in the menu block but have had no luck. While I'm not sure if I'm activating the dev settings correctly on the iPad as far as I can tell its returning no javascript errors.

mehrpadin commentedHey there,
Well, demo is a bit old now and it doesn't have any sfTouchscreen! but will try the rc1 on an iPad very soon, thanks for letting me now; in the meantime you can try the latest development release (today's), there were some silly bugs, maybe related.

aaront commentedI just downloaded the latest dev and this bug still exists. works great otherwise though, thanks!

chrbak commentedI have the same problem but on my pc browser. The expanded submenu stays open. I tried the 7.x-1.9 version but the problem persists.
I downgrade to my previous version 7.x-1.8-dev and all working fine.

mehrpadin commentedPlease answer these :)

aaront commentedYes, I've updated the library as well. I'm using a zen sub theme, but this is also true when i switch to bartik. running 1.9 with the current library as of today.

mehrpadin commentedUpdate: Fixed, added a new feature to the sfTouchscreen, try the latest development release (today's) once updated, with the master branch of the Superfish library, feedback is very welcome.

mettam commentedHi,
I know this issue is marked as being closed, but I have having this exact problem. There appears to be no way to collapse a drop down menu on an iPad. I am using the touchscreen plug-in in the latest version of dev with the library update from June. Am I missing something in the configuration? I've tried almost every combination I could see... What do I need to do to make this work short of writing a fade-out jQuery function?
Thanks

lavms commentedHi,
I'm having the same problem. I'm using the pixture reloaded theme. Everything seems fine except when I test the drop down menus on the iPad. Drop down menu does not collapse when I hover out on the iPad. Please help.
Thanks

mrogers commentedExperiencing this as well, with the following setup:
Once the Superfish menu is opened on either the iPhone or iPad, there is really no way to close it.
I have a clean install of the 1.9 module with the master library here: http://www.morganrogers.ca/superfish-test

mehrpadin commentedEverybody,
Please try the latest master branch of the SF library with the latest development release (today's), please please test with as many devices as you can, thanks!
mrogers commentedThanks, mehrpadin. I've updated the above-noted site to the dev version of the module with the latest master library.
On iOS devices I'm still unable to close the menu by clicking outside of it.
In the sf-touchscreen options, I set the new 'second tap' option to 'Hiding the sub-menu on the second tap.' -- this feature works well.

mehrpadin commentedRight, use the jQuery Update module please, upgrade to 1.9 or 1.10 and let me know! thanks.
mrogers commentedUpdating jQuery to 1.10 with the latest sf dev releases fixed it for me on iOS -- thank you!!

mehrpadin commentedYou're welcome! updated the library just now also, now working with 1.4.4 & 1.5.
