I am going to use Drupal for creating a personal website. I need a personal computer for this, and can't afford a MacAir. I was going to get a convertible Dell laptop tablet, but was told I might be able to use Drupal with an iPad. Now that I see you can install on a cloud, is this possible or do I need to get a regular PC or Mac laptop?

You *could* do it, there are a couple of iPad editors that will allow you to edit files, but wow, I sure wouldn't want to. Unless you had a bluetooth keyboard, then it may not be so bad.

Thank you!
The convertible laptop/tablet is $1200, or I could just get a simple laptop for $450. But I really want a tablet. So our IT guy suggested that I might be able to do this on a iPad and get the Mac features that I love.
I am starting a small business and only have work computers at home. My only device requirement is that I'm able to build and maintain my personal website. I'm learning Drupal so that is the method I'll use.
I wonder if using Drupal
I wonder if using Drupal Gardens would meet your needs for your personal website. It would make development from an iPad more practical though if you use Drupal Gardens you are constrained to the functionality they allow.
Drupal Gardens
Thanks, I'll check it out!
Drupal Gardens
I really appreciate the Drupal Gardens comment. I have signed up for a starter site and will play around with it. I think it probably will have plenty of the features that I need. I never would have know about this site without your comment.
