okay i have installed and uninstalled drupal twice. first because i couldnt figure out how to do certain things and it looked complicated and then i reinstalled again after reading reviews after hearing good things about it from a colleague at work... but what i really want to do is use drupal the same way i use the cms at work in the back end to input everything and the pages are created from the information that i enter in. so how can i do that with drupal...

Go to "create content" and select "page" and create your page. Once you submit it you will be shown an example of what your page looks like. Quite simple, really. Give Drupal a chance and you will be impressed.

Also, if the above explanation is not what you want then try to elaborate a little more about what you are trying to do. Out of the box Drupal does exactly what you explained in your post.
