I created a simple Devel Node Access Test module (DNAT). It is designed expressly for testing http://drupal.org/node/196922.

It may be useful for incorporating into Devel.

It creates two dummy node_access grants and allows for batch creation of {node_access} rules for testing.

I think it should stay separate, or become part of the unit test package in simpletest. It is not useful enough to a standard developer to be in devel download. Thanks for working on that issue.

I think I'm going to write the Node Access Manager module in the near future and release this module as part of that.
