More a question since you've most certainly thought about this - how are you going to deal with vertical tabs?

They are obviously not mobile friendly. In the design draft you've shown in the video there is also a sidebar on the node creation form and there are some further ideas on how to redesign the content creation page on this thread --> http://groups.drupal.org/node/217434

Which of this stuff will make it into a drupal 7 version of the theme?

Ok, great - can you post a comment once that's ready to go?

In general I'm also open to helping out with repsonsive CSS stuff but I'm not a backend guy.
We need a responsive admin theme rather soon and vertical tabs is really a major pain right now...

This actually proves to be rather tricky because of the markup. Do you have any ideas how it might be done?

So are vertical tabs going away in d8? What is the status? I don't see what the relationship is of vertical tabs and the Sidebar in 2025295.
