Today I noticed something that I thought shouldn't happen, and that I was sure had never happened before: during a list synchronization (an extensive one that removed more than 300 users from a list), users were notified of the unsubscription. Now I've turned off unsubscribe notifications for all lists, but I still think users shouldn't be notified when they're unsubscribed automatically through a list sync.

I'm having trouble figuring out why this would be a bug: it may not be exactly what you expected, but this tool is just an API over the Mailchimp program. Why would we silently override a setting on your list at Mailchimp under a specific set of circumstances? Is there something in the interface or documentation that gave you the impression this would behave differently?
