What is the best way to remove the "No front page content has been created yet." text from the homepage? In the past I've created a new template for the homepage and removed this from the code. Is there another way of doing this in the corporate clean theme?

This is a default drupal behavior and has nothing to do with corporate clean. I would open a ticket in the general drupal support group.

Never used this but you can probably find a module to change the default. Here is an example: https://www.drupal.org/project/front
