Similar to http://drupal.org/node/137206, Badges aren't automatically assigned when a user chooses (and is assigned) and role automatically through RoleAssign module.

For instance, when a new user joins and make their role choice, I can see through admin that they then have the correct role assigned BUT no badge assigned. However, I can then manually assign them a badge to correspond with that role, so I'm pretty sure I have both modules (User Badges and RoleAssign) installed correctly.

Any chance we can get this functionality? I really like (and frankly need) both of these modules to work together because we have lots of sign-ups and it would save lots of time to have this process integrated.

Similar issue, similar answer. User badges listens for role changes on user_save() via it's hook_user implementation. IMO roleassign should either user user_save, or call hook_user implementations after changing roles.
