not sure if PHP version dependent, but $pane isn't defined so $pane->content doesn't work and so returns null resulting in a blank lonely admin page.

$pane should be passed into that function, but will review more specifically.

Worked for me, thanks !
I have php 5.4.3 & 5.3.13 on a wamp with apache 2.4.2. With PHP 5.4.3 there was no problem but with 5.3.13 I had a blank configuration pane.

This should now be fixed. Marking as a duplicate of #1980506: Notice: Undefined variable pane at admin/panopoly/panes which had the same patch.
