Doubly encoded entity in log view

To reproduce:
1. Create a user with a short name
2. View the logs

You will see that the trailing > in the email address has been converted to > [i.e. its entity form with an ampersand - it seems there's a bug in this project module too that means that I can't type &gt; or < as I submit bugs! I've had to use entities instead]
"New user: user <user@somewhere.com&gt;"
