Hi all,
this is my personal "Powered by Drupal" website where I do post my personal thoughts, sketches, articles and reviews about software design, data modeling, conceptual frameworks and other simiar amenities:
Some info about the Drupal setup...
-The Theme- It is custom, I liked the Garland theme but it left too little space for the body content of my posts so I resized its lateral bars and the header. I also resized the fonts and the blocks and did many little changes here and there. If you think this theme has some value I could try to GPL it to Drupal.org.
-The Modules- I used too many modules, I did it for fun but also to decorate the website of course, here is a short list:
quotes module for random quotes that are being displayed on top of the front-page header;
google ajax search form on the left;
feed buttons;
topics and bookshops taxonomies;
Amazon front-end (Amazon associate tools module) for the bookshop section and the books views;
Amazon filter to import Amazon items;
views for book items on the front-page and for the bookshop table views;
hovertip (I just tested it and works great, I didn't use it yet in practice);
tagadelic blocks;
polls and surveys;
external links decorated using JQuery;
TinyMCE editor;
dhtml Thickbox for the images displayed in the post teasers that you can click to enlarge;
form captcha;
taxonomy redirect;
taxonomy menu;
guestbook;
etc.etc.
Any comment or question about the theme, modules, the graphics, the colors, contents, etc. is welcome!
If you own or know websites with similar scopes (software architecture, data modeling, conceptual software design, etc.... original materials, no marketing, no evangelisms, not "just content aggregation", etc.) leave me a comment too, we could link each other.
Congratulations to the Drupal community and specially to the module contributors for the great work they do.
Best regards,
Benedetto.
