when i'm on a page like my account or some other page i didn't create and was created by default by drupal the pictures disappear. The pictures that are in the blocks area. I know you can add a forward slash before site, but that does not always work. Any suggestions?

I think you're on the right track
You've got path issues, most likely. Try using absolute URLs, that should clear things up.
