Image nodes created by Upload Image do not inherit access control attributes from the parent post

Description

I haven't tried Upload Image with any access control modules other than OG, but it seems that image nodes don't inherit the access control attributes from the parent post. The result of attaching an image file to a private post in an OG group is an automatically created image not that isn't posted to the OG group (and is therefore visible to non-group members).

I'm having the same problem (well almost). I have galleries posted in groups containing the images. when clicking on an image i leave the group, and don't see any group details anymore.
would be nice if there is an idea, how to create a connection between the image and the group of the parent post.

I am a bit unsure how to fix this considering that there are many ways to implement access control.
