Hi, I have this strange situation with my installation: I can insert all I need in the "add views" form, but when I click on "save" or "save and edit" button my browser return me to the list of avaible view without my new view. I have tried with Firefox and with Opera. In the log (watchdog) there is nothing about my new views or about some type of error.
Plz, help me.

gracearoha commentedActually i just realised that my views also now does not work. I upgrade from D5.2 to D5.3 and now i when i try to create a new view it doesn't get saved.
anyone else having this problem?
Please help!
I need to make some views.
ps. i am using views 5x-1.6 (2007-Jul-14)
okay, i'm answering my own post here. I got views to work again, but i had to disable views module and every module associated with it. I cleared the views cache, re-enabled all the modules and then "re-installed" views through the development module. (I'm not sure that all these steps were necessary) But now it works. Yeah!
addendum: Well perhaps i spoke too soon. it works now on my local development site but not on my live site. I think it may have to do with the order in which i re-enabled modules, but not sure. Will try again and report back...

ziobudda commentedHave you tried to re-use update.php page ? I don't know why, but after an upgrade I need to update.php twice or more time before views return to work.

jimsmith commentedAs requested at http://drupal.org/node/212599, here is information on my installation:
PHP: 5.1.6
MySQL: 5.0.22
Contributed modules: Too numerous to list, but includes Views, Panels, CCK, GMap, Contemplate, MySite, Organic Groups
In my other installations that have had problems, I'm using:
PHP: 4.3.11
MySQL: 3.23.58
Contributed modules: Again, there are many, but primarily Views, Panels, CCK, GMap, and Contemplate
Also, mysteriously, Views returned on this most recent upgrade situation. I'm not sure what happened. I am investigating to determine if I somehow deviated from normal upgrade procedures. Although I have always contended I followed instructions exactly, the discrepancies with results leads me to now question that.
Another mystery to solve, is some changes that resulted in some but not all content types. Some CCK fields are missing and did not return like the views did.
Though I wonder if the problems are my fault, it's clear from numerous posts through this and other threads that I'm not the only one with problems with missing content after upgrading. I will attempt to post an answer if I find one.
