My English is not very well, sorry for that!
I and some other German Strato-User have the Problem, that the update.php don't work. First time we get the bug was at the 13th of April. German community: German Forum
We get the answer from Strato, that we must contact drupal directly. Nobody from us has this Problems on local system. Only on the Strato Hosting the update.php don't' run. It only starts but at the end all modules are not checked. Also if we start the updat manuell the problem exist.
Someone from Strato says, that drupal must check if the IP-Addess witch ask for updates are from Strato-Hosting and disallow the update if it is so.
Can this be?
Thank you for your help.
Bye
Antonia

marcingy commentedThis is not a major drupal issue see http://drupal.org/node/45111 and it is also not a bug with drupal

Hendrik53 commentedBoth version 7.17 and version 7.22 give error on sites hosted by Strato. The cron update results in an error on the core modules and other modules. In fact, cron does not work anymore.
German site says it's a Drupal problem (http://www.drupalcenter.de/node/46107). Strato mentions something about a licening issue on their site.
I do not use the Strato impelemtation of Drupal, but I uploaded my own configuration. It worked, but not anymore.
Please contact Strato to solve issues between Drupal and Strato since both parties are pointing to each other. On various German drupal website threats is a large tree of comments about this issue.

prudal commentedHi there,
Since there's no progress here, but same problem posted in another thread, see http://drupal.org/node/1980352#comment-7392816

rszrama commentedThere isn't really a "Drupal" for you to contact about this issue. There's nothing wrong with update.php itself, and if this used to work on Strato and no longer does, then it must be that Strato has changed some server policy affecting execution of the update script. It sounds like Strato has some automated script attempting to access update files on its servers that kept hitting conflicts with Drupal's update.php and his somehow disabled execution of the script because of it. I can't begin to fathom why else they would make the IP address checking recommendation. It's very odd.

c-logemannIn any case this issue should stay closed. Because it's not related to drupal core. But it's related to d.o infrastructure. And from this point of view this issue could be marked as duplicate. For further discussion please follow the issue where the Drupal.org webmasters are already involved:
#1980352: STRATO - No update information (IP blocked?)
