There are no stable releases. It should not be used yet.

T is listed in the modules section and at least there is a dev-release. All other dev versions there are installing fine using drush dl command and then a selection is given wether to [0]cancel or select [1]dev release. Just wanted to inform you that wether you hold back the dev release of gravatar for d8 or decide to fix this issue.

The release is not marked as supported or recommended. I have no idea how you'd expect a Drupal 8 dev release from 2011 to actually work, but for now I've gone as far as actually unpublishing the release until we have an actual D8 version.
