Specific conditions cause some themes to self-refresh and incorrectly shifts the scroll location upwards - making some interface items inaccessible.
To Reproduce:
- Select the PushButton theme
- go to /?q=admin/build/modules
- Expand the "Core - require" subsection
- scroll all the way to the bottom with mouse, Scroll-wheel, "Page Down" keyboard button or via dragging the vertical scrollbar.
Error:
As soon as the user releases the interface controls with the IE7 window scolled all the way to the bottom, the window scrolls upwards (by itself) to a point where the "Save Configuration" button isn't even visible. The scrolling amount varies if the IE7 window is not Maximized. When a Horizontal Scrollbar is available, scrolling to the far bottom-right also causes a self-scroll shift to the left.
The Chameleon theme also self-refreshes and shifts vertically but only by a single pixel. The vertical shift is more pronounced and adds a shift to the left if the IE7 window has been resized until a horizontal scroll bar appears. In that case, the display must be scrolled to the far bottom-right to trigger the self-scroll.
Blue Marine, Garland, Marvin or Minelli themes did NOT exhibit the refresh error.
Firefox did NOT exhibit the refresh error.
Notes:
The "Powered by Drupal" had been turned off and then moved to the footer. I don't know if this contributed to the problem and I don't know how to reset to defaults without uninstalling, flushing the database and starting over.
