Can this be committed to the next release?

EDIT: I know it can't be committed as-is (I'm finding this out the hard way, trying to downgrade and patch,) but this causes some problems for some of my products. It seems very unnecessary to make a new product type for items that have only one price value since they share so much with the other products of the same type.
