Menu items changing language

Hi,
My setup is a two language one (Swedish and english). One of my menus is a list of places and so all the items are the same in both languages. I created the menu like this:
Item name Translation Sw Translation En
Lund| Lund Lund
Kalmar| Kalmar Kalmar
... .... ....
What happens is every now and then one of the items gets it's language changed to Swedish and then it doesn't show up in the menu anymore and I have to manually reset it to no language.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
