Context taxonomy descendants is a condition plugin for the Context module. It provides a condition that is active when a taxonomy term referenced (via a Term Reference field) by the node being viewed is a descendant of a selected taxonomy term.

This can be contrasted with the taxonomy condition provided by Context itself, in which you must select every individual taxonomy term that should activate the condition when referenced by a node. With Context taxonomy descendants, you can simply select a parent taxonomy term for the condition, and any direct children or other descendants will trigger the condition.
