ericduran commentedThanks for the email and the offer.
This is now fixed.
fizk commentedIt's been a while, but I'm not sure why this was marked fixed. The project's maintenance status is still "seeking co-maintainers".
fizk commentedI've also sent this question to the current project owner, ericduran, via email four weeks ago, and didn't receive any response.
Since we normally wait two weeks for a response, I'm moving this to the webmaster's isssue queue.

whiteph commentedI also went through a similar process: Offering to maintain or co-maintain Fivestar module. @dddave managed to contact @ericduran via twitter, and Eric eventually made me a co-maintainer. It looks like he didn't complete the job for you, @fizk. I don't see anything on D.O where I can make you a co-maintainer, else I'd do that.
fizk commentedThanks whiteph, it's good to see that you went through with it and already committing :)
dddave commented@fizk
Do you still want to co-maintain?
fizk commented@dddave, yes.
dddave commentedper #2 and #10 user fizk should become another co-maintainer.

I actually fixed this May 3, 2013.
When I added whiteph last week I removed fizk since he's had access for over and year and no commits where added.
fizk commented@ericduran, first off, by that logic, you should also remove yourself, as you haven't committed in the past two years.
On January 2, 2014, when whiteph approached me - and before you granted him write access - I tried to see if I had commit access and I didn't.
And why not ping me instead of silently removing my access?
If I could take over the project, I would, because you're not maintaining it at all. You didn't reply to me when I reopened this issue in #4 on February 8, 2014 - not in email, and not in this issue - and when someone like whiteph and I try to get access, you don't respond to our emails, and we have to use Twitter to get in touch with you. By now you should know that email is the expected form of communication on Drupal.org. We shouldn't have to ping you on Twitter.
@dddave, I don't know how you want to handle this, but, as much as I appreciate ericduran's past work on Fivestar, I don't think he should remain as the project maintainer. On top of all of this, I still don't have write access. I have a lot of experience taking over neglected projects, and I'm sure I can handle being the maintainer of Fivestar. I respectfully request to be made the project maintainer of Fivestar.

whiteph commentedI support @fizk in his request to become the project maintainer. I'd also be happy to perform that role, but I'm a relative Drupal newbie and I expect #fizk is better positioned to do the job. I'm very happy contributing. The most important thing is to get Fivestar moving again after a long period of neglect.
I also appreciate @ericduran's past work on Fivestar, but I think the time has come for the module to be handed over.
dddave commentedI am not the one to make any calls here. I prepare the ground for other webmasters and try to enable cooperation. Therefore I would very much appreciate if @fizk could become (co)maintainer of the module and I am standing behind setting this to rtbc.
@ericduran's efforts on this module are outstanding but it cannot be denied that the last year left a widely used module in a de facto abandoned state.
I am in no position to judge what really happened regarding @fizk's first "co-maintainership" but it is obvious to me that he would be a good addition to the team.
ericduran commentedFYI, I have no issues giving away commit access and I think it shows with all my interactions with everyone that has ever ask for commit access to a project I maintain or co-maintain.
I do not appreciate the tone of @fizk last comment as it comes of aggressive and to be honest unnecessary.
As a matter a fact, it's my personal choice if I reply to emails or not. Most communication regarding drupal.org actually happens on IRC, if anyone were to ping me on irc and ask for commit access it would had taken 2 seconds, since I'm clearly in front of my computer and this has happen literally multiple times (because that's how most people tend to reach out).
That being said, The reason why i don't reply to email is mainly because I filter out all drupal.org email since they're a bit extreme sometimes. It has nothing to do with
One thing that should be noted, people constantly ask for commit access, I tend to just give it away and let them know it's fixed. if they do something great, if they don't oh well, I have no reason to remove it but since I went to the maintainers page for fivestar to add whiteph I figured I'll just clean it up and remove other people that HAVE never committed since it's pointless (If you've committed before it's not nice to remove people because then they'll get removed from the "Maintainers for Fivestar" block).
Also the reason why you probably couldn't add whiteph was probably because I didn't give you permission to maintain maintainers.
Anyways next time a simple irc ping would go a long away.
FYI, This is fixed already.
