This is related to issue #1198758, but that was closed without any resolution to this particular part to it.

If you create a view of Commerce Products, you have the Add to Cart Form field you can add. Works great.

But a view on a search API index, of Commerce Products, does not have this field available.

Do you have a recent Commerce version?
Commerce 1.6 and 1.7 have #1889270: Display the "Add to cart button" with search api views included which does exactly that, no?
