Entering/Editing dates with a given number of repeats resets the start date in ical feed

Problem/Motivation

I noticed that in iCal, an event which had x number of repeats every week was changing the begin date of the series to the next iteration after the current date. This happens whether the item is previously entered and then edited or entered new with a past begin date.

Other calendar views operate correctly, but the iCal view does not.
