Import of EndNote XML ignores new lines (carriage returns)

When I attempt to import an EndNote XML file, the new line codes, or carriage returns, are ignored. By default, EndNote replaces carriage returns with an 
 code when exporting. I've tried importing the XML file into Biblio both with the code as is (see the attached file), and also by replacing the 
 codes with actual carriage returns before doing the import, but it gets ignored either way--i.e., both the XML codes and the carriage returns are simply dropped. Incidentally, there is another bug report dealing with this same issue, but since that's for v. 5 and it hasn't been addressed in over six years, I figured it would be best to create a new issue.
