We have multiple group types (e.g. organizations, committees, etc.) that a user can be a member of. When working with the panel user_view i'm trying to create a relationship to the organization group. However there doesn't appear to be a way to create a relationship to a group of a specific node type.

I'm assuming that we don't create multiple variations of the og_user_node field.... or is this the recommended approach?

How would we go about this currently? Or does this require a patch to add node type as a configuration option to "Node from User (on User: Group membership [og_user_node])" ?

After further investigation we realized that CTools is providing the relationship in question so re-assigning the support request here.

Our current plan is to write an additional plugin that allows us to filter an entity reference by bundle. Let me know if you'd like us to submit it as a patch to ctools or create a separate module.
