multiple schedule switching

I like the multiple schedule system. This leaves me wishing for the following added features:

1. The person who is designated to do the schedule has access to admin the schedule, but they cannot set the default schedule because it is in the admin section and they are restricted from that.
2. It would be awesome to be able to change the default schedule at a particular time.

We will be implementing multiple schedules to accommodate holidays and breaks. I think the multiple schedules is nice as well because one can build the new semesters schedule off-line so to speak. If the schedules could be set to become the default schedule at a particular time, then the system would be hands off at the moment of a new schedule start. If this is possible, it may also be handy to be able to duplicate a schedule to be used as the new schedule starting point.
