What is the thing about image_import (1.6 bundle) and modules such as watermark or image_exact_sizes (with all the nice patches). When I add image nodes individually via create content > image, all mentioned modules do the job. When I import images via image_import all the nice additions (as properly sized thumbs or watermarks) are not rendered.

As far as I see the image_import adds nodes some shortcut way. Are there any workaround to add image nodes with image_import and mentioned modules performed their jobs well?

i think the best place to take that up would be with those modules since image_import is "official". if they say there's something that they need to get it working i'd be willing to work with them.
